Win €10,000 for your school!
We are delighted to announce BD Research Centre Ireland’s (RCI) STEM-Stars competition returns for its 3rd year. To introduce ourselves, we are a global medical technology company with over 70,000 associates. With a reputation as an innovative leader, we are driven by our Purpose of advancing the world of health™. At BD, whether you are an engineer, scientist or technician, whether you work in Marketing, Finance or Human Resources, everyone’s role and contributions improve and save lives.
This school competition aims to inspire and encourage students in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. People who pioneer and create in these areas are capable of incredible advances in the world of health. BD support programs that foster future talent and as such feel passionate about community-based initiatives like STEM Stars.
To date, STEM Stars has been open to schools within Co. Limerick and Co. Clare. However, given its success combined with our desire to support additional communities we are delighted to announce the inclusion of Co. Tipperary.
Last year, amongst exceptional innovative entries, Desmond College NCW won first prize, with a particularly creative and life-enhancing project aimed at tackling teen obesity. Read more on past events.
We would like to acknowledge and thank Limerick and Clare, Education and Training Board (LCETB) for their valued contributions and continued support in the success of this initiative.
