Medication Delivery Solutions

As a leading manufacturer and supplier of Medication Delivery Solutions, we strive to improve safety for both patients and healthcare workers. We provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anesthesia, and closed medication management.

Our work in Medication Delivery Solutions

Some of our well-known brands include BD Venflon™ Pro Safety, the BD Plastipak™ syringe, the BD PosiFlush™ pre-filled saline syringe, BD PhaSeal™ closed drug treatment, the BD Nexiva™ closed IV catheter system and the BD Eclipse™ safety needle.

In our quest to contribute to reduced risks in healthcare, we offer the market's widest range of safety products in the injection and infusion area and are constantly developing new products. We also work actively to educate around our product areas, conducting seminars to prevent both accidental blood exposure for healthcare professionals and reducing the risk of infection to patients.

As an associate working within this business unit, you’ll continuously stay ahead of the curve and develop new and existing products, taking efficiency, cost effectiveness, and patient outcomes into account.

Medication Management Solutions

With thousands of medications making their way to patients all over the world every day, the medication management process can become extremely complex, with a high level of expertise needed to keep everything running smoothly. Using proven technologies, we help lower costs, improve patient safety, and better enable clinicians to deliver the right care at the right time. We focus on improving productivity and increasing time for patient care. Our technical capabilities allow us to manage multiple systems, and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, making nursing and pharmacy teams more efficient in the process.

Our work in Medication Management Solutions

Medication management can be a challenging process. Gaps in communication and a lack of visibility between steps can contribute to a 45% risk of medication error. To bridge these gaps, we created the BD HealthSight™ platform for enterprise medication management. The platform is a new Medication Management Solutions (MMS) brand, standing alongside BD Pyxis™ and BD Alaris™. The BD HealthSight platform enables us to create a safer, more efficient medication management process from pharmacy to bedside.

Pharmaceutical Systems

With innovative pre-fillable syringes, self-injection systems, safety systems, and needle technologies, we offer an extensive selection of solutions designed to protect, package, and deliver drug therapies. With over 6,000 associates globally, we have a subsidiary office in the United States with sales teams operating around Europe, North and South America, and Greater Asia. We also operate manufacturing plants in Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Hungary, and Japan. All these sites produce high-quality and innovative drug delivery solutions that improve quality of life for patients around the world.
