The Manager, Operations Finance will provide financial support to the manufacturing operations function within BD as well as provide key support in both the inventory and audit (internal/external) space. The employee will also work on problems of diverse scope utilizing data analysis of situations. In this role, you will frequently interact with the local, regional, and corporate finance staff. You will also be a key business partner to various functional leaders in the business.
Coordinates with all levels of management to prepare and explain inventory drivers, particularly in our Dispensing business
Prepares information and reports to support key internal and external audit requests within our MMS business
Partners with business leaders on Forecasts, Annual Budgets, and Quarterly Forecasts, and Variance Analysis
Analyzes financial performance through monthly financial reporting. Interprets financial data, identifying ways to increase effectiveness, find expense savings, and improve asset utilization
Partners with Manufacturing, Revenue and other functions to enhance finance related decisions, introduce process discipline, and ensures the existence of appropriate controls to safeguard company assets
Ensures proper expense recognition in accordance applicable accounting standards, and acts as a liaison with internal and external auditors for financial matters within area of responsibility
Summarizes and presents data in a manner that transforms it into meaningful and actionable information
Inventory Reporting Metrics and other KPI’s
Identifies opportunities and risks to business based on interpretation of data
Ability to work with minimal to no guidance
Performs other related duties and assignments as required
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent field, 3-5 years FP&A or Accounting experience.
Both Finance and General Accounting knowledge are required as well as effective organization, planning and interpersonal skills.
Manufacturing knowledge a plus
Prior experience leading a team preferred
Must be able to successfully operate with minimal supervision
Strong proficiency with Excel, as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to travel approximately once a quarter domestically
