Job Description Summary

As Business Development Manager B2B you will drive partnerships and long term sales in the top 5-7 cross boarder pharmaceutical customers based in EMEA. You will sit at the center of Becton Dickinson's matrix organization and requires close collaboration with and coordination between the B2B Leadership Team, EMEA Country Business Development Management team and various functional teams (Supply chain, R&D, Quality and regulatory). You will be also responsible for the development and execution of a Pharmaceutical only strategy and commercialism of key Partnerships with this high potential customer base.

    As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anaesthesia and closed medication management.

    About the role

    Main responsibilities will include:

    • Drive partnerships and long-term sales with top 5-7 cross-border pharmaceutical customers in EMEA.
    • Central role in BD matrix organization, collaborating with B2B Leadership, EMEA Country Business Development, and functional teams (Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, Regulatory).
    • Develop and implement a pharmaceutical-only strategy and commercialize key partnerships.
    • Report to the Pharma Segment B2B Sales Leader.
    • Travel mainly across Europe; must be based near a major international airport.
    • Participate with Global B2B team and take global commercial lead for some key accounts

    About you

    • Integrate business and financial fundamentals with market and pharma industry knowledge.
    • Over 5 years of experience in sales, marketing or business management in the Pharma Segment or similar medical B2B segment.
    • Demonstrated selling and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to develop detailed account plans.
    • Experience working within a matrix organization.
    • Fluency in English is essential, proficiency in the country spoken languages is a plus.
    • Ability and willingness to undertake travels inline with customer needs (30% customer facing) and on a regular basis international trips (congresses, internal commercial meetings as required).
