Job Description Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Technical Sales Product Specialist to join the Medication Management (MMS) Team responsible for BD Dispensing – ROWA Retail. This is a crucial role in understanding, promoting, and enhancing our product offerings working closely with the state-based account managers to work with existing and new customers with an aim to grow the BD market share across Dispensing – ROWA Retail. This is an exciting, varied and challenging role, which will involve been the product expert for infusion and related therapies, developing and maintaining key customer relationships, understanding relevant unmet customer needs in the area of Dispensing – ROWA Retail by implementing BD product solutions that will result in positive outcomes for both patients and healthcare providers.

This position would suit someone who is currently working for a distributor or SME who sells capital equipment into healthcare and has a passion building customised solutions with our market leading automated medication dispensing robotics, BD ROWA for the retail pharmacy sector.

This position can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in the clinical area of dispensing - retail, understanding customer practices and demonstrating the advantages of the BD Dispensing product solutions in the Retail market, conducting product presentation and validations with prospective customers.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of BD Dispensing – ROWA Retail products, features, and benefits to effectively communicate and support internal teams and customers.

  • Work closely with product managers, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies

  • Develop formal presentations for internal teams and customers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of product features, updates, and best practices.

  • Achievement of agreed sales targets for the BD range of MMS ROWA Retail products & services to the retail market segment as outlined by the MMS DRI Sales and Marketing Manager to ensure consistent sales, market share and profit growth.

  • Effectively build and maintain relationships with both in internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure accurate and appropriate delivery of key communication messages in a specific timeframe for the BDROWA Retail range of products to targeted Healthcare Practitioners.

  • Participate actively in trade conferences organised locally and nationally as required.

  • Track and communicate market trends to/from the field including competitor data and develop effective counter strategies.

  • Compliance to Sales Force Effectiveness Standards. Utilization of salesforce.com as per requirements outlined by management.

  • Develop and maintain local partnership with relevant industry bodies and Pharmaceutical Partner sales representatives in your territory.

  • Ensure compliance with all Quality Management System and BD policies

  • Maintain company property, including computer equipment, in good working condition and in an image that always reflects the professional standards of BD .

  • Other related tasks at the discretion of management.

Most importantly, you are passionate about BDROWA Retail products, credible, enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, know how to strategically go after business and can work with all levels from nurse to C-suite.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years of clinical product experience – Dispensing experience will be looked upon favourably

  • Proven experience in a product specialist or similar role advantages.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Nursing, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and short timelines from time to time.

  • Problem solving ability and demonstrated examples of providing innovative solutions.

  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Demonstrated competence in computer literacy with knowledge of software packages, experience with CRM programs an advantage.

  • Must be able to manage customer expectations and experience appropriately.

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Other:

  • Some weekend work may be required as will out of normal business hours work

  • Regular domestic (New Zealand)/Australia travel will be required (approx. 50%)

  • Driver’s license essential
