Job Description Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, updating, and maintaining product data in our internal systems and the National Product Catalogue (NPC). This role is crucial for ensuring data accuracy and integrity across our product lines.

About the National Product Catalogue (NPC): The National Product Catalogue (NPC) is a centralized platform that allows organizations to maintain and share product and item information with all trading partners in real-time. It ensures data alignment and improves data sharing across the supply chain. The NPC facilitates the digitization of product information, enabling electronic exchange of data for operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain product information in internal databases, and on the GS1 National Product catalogue (NPC).

  • Collect and compile product data from various systems and sources. (SAP, Power BI, NPC, Contracts, Regulatory, Boulevard, Product managers)

  • Review Product data help on 3rd party systems (Pacific Commerce Boulevard system), to ensure it is up to date and aligned with other system data.

  • Publish product data to the National Catalogue to achieve Contract compliance

  • Update product data already published to the product catalogue, ensuring compliance with product catalogue validation rules.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and verify product information.

  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Generate reports and insights based on product data analysis.

  • Work closely with the Customer Solutions team to identify and rectify data discrepancies and inconsistencies.

  • Monitor shared email inbox and ensure the enquiry is prioritised, and delivered to the correct department for processing

  • Always ensuring compliance with company and other relevant standards/regulations.

  • Prepare ad hoc reports, analysis and submissions as required.

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and projects as needed.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).

  • Understanding of data management principles and best practices.

  • Knowledge of the National Product Catalogue (NPC) and its requirements is a plus.

  • SAP experience would be a plus.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member.

  • Proven experience in engaging and communicating with a range of business stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
