Job Description Summary

The role of the Integrated Supply Chain Excellence is to serve as the TGS representative responsible for partnering with the Supply Chain Leadership and other related stakeholders including but not limited to customer success and commercial operations.

This role is responsible for driving and shaping demand as well as ensuring the delivery of Technology & Global Services (TGS) solutions for Order Management, globally.

This individual will serve as a point person to the Supply Chain leadership team for order management and will lead a team of business partners that will conduct solution and business process analysis and prepare the appropriate solution direction and manage the delivery of the technology work, for this function.

This individual will be required to have a good understanding of end to end order management including commercial order intake, order management related master data, regulatory & financial checks in the order, price management, delivery and shipment systems and processes. The associate should have solid experience in working across and with large, geographically dispersed teams. The individual must be able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the order management function is proactively provided with strategic thought leadership and that demand is shaped, prioritized, and delivered.

This leadership position reports directly to the TGS Central Teams Business Partner for the Integrated Supply Chain.

The objective of this role is to actively partner with the Supply Chain and relevant Commercial teams to understand their strategic priorities and work to identify ways that TGS can support and advance those objectives.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and scale the Order Management Business Partner team to leverage the existing technological stack, simplify where possible and enable growth through latest technology platforms

  • Develop a deep knowledge of BD’s order management channels, including key driver goals, short- and long-term roadmaps, key personnel, etc.

  • Build strong relationships with internal BD stakeholders in the area of Sales, Supply Chain Operations, and Product, working cross-functionally to surface any issue trends to key stakeholders by cultivating a collaborative culture.

  • Partner with the Integrated Supply Chain and Commercial Operations teams to plan new joint initiatives, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into roadmaps and priorities

  • Identify and define new opportunities to leverage technology and/or process re-design to advance business strategies that directly contribute to driving revenue growth, cost optimization and/or risk mitigation and compliance.

  • Develop strategies for optimal deployment and adoption of new technology capabilities, services and solutions across the business and/or the end-customers.

  • Manage and facilitate TGS’ partner teams to ensure delivery provides the desired outcomes

  • Build Knowledge and capability in order management automation and work towards attaining the companies’ vision of improving the experience to our customers, and reducing lead time while increasing the touchless percentage of orders.

  • Work with other TGS Business Partners and TGS’ Core Areas of Delivery to ensure that solutions are not siloed and that they are informed by, and are integrated with BD’s enterprise roadmaps

  • Ensure projects and initiatives are delivered, providing consistent and effective communication on status and managing escalation and avoiding risk.

  • Measure and communicate value realized on a periodic basis through defined and agreed upon metrics and supporting analysis.

  • Serve as a continuous connector. Energized by a role that is focused on partnership and facilitation. Operates through the lens of what can we do to simplify and improve things.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic understanding, both business and technology experience, exceptional relationship building skills and solution-oriented mindset together.

In addition, this person should also possess:

  • 15+ years of business working experience in a technology function

  • Accomplished in multiple process and technology capabilities across the Supply Chain with focus in omni channel order intake, touchless order management, ideally in the Med device sector.

  • Expert level knowledge on order intake, regulatory and financial check, price management, shipment, and any other associated processes within Order Management.

  • Expert level knowledge of SAP Order Management and associated functions, ability to understand solution design and provide meaning full recommendations.

  • Highly skilled in Problem Solving and being aware of related functions involved in getting an issue resolved.

  • Deep understanding of cross functional dependency on order management process and expertise in master data involved in order processing, various order intake methods (portal, edi, others).

  • Ability to influence and break down silos within an organization as well across organizations

  • Ability to map joint organizational vision and long-term thinking, imagination, and idea generation

  • Ability to communicate complex business / technical challenges in a simplified manner

  • Must be a leader who can influence stakeholders in written and oral communications

  • Must have experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies and can formulate new programs to generate excitement and engagement

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and project management approaches, tools, and phases 

  • Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods

  • Highly collaborative work style which includes working effectively across all organizational levels

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and in overcoming ambiguity
