About the role
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the general accounting activities for the acquired Edwards Critical Care business. Your role will involve designing, building, and supporting the operations, planning, and decision-making processes.
You will prepare monthly reconciliations between the APM business and BD, perform full statement reviews, validate and question all items transferred from Edwards to BD for the EMEA organization, and provide ad hoc reporting as needed. You will work closely with the EMEA finance team to ensure clear communication.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Perform monthly reviews of TB transferred over from APM, providing variance explanations and coordinating issue resolution for the EMEA region.
- Support the relationship with the US Corporate and Europe Finance teams by providing monthly reporting analysis.
- Ensure that the EMEA finance team is kept fully informed of activities within their region and supplied with applicable supporting information.
- Prepare monthly revenue invoices to Edwards and reconcile them to the Revenue Flash file.
- Review and reconcile COGS and NET CASH settlement invoices received from Edwards to the trial balance uploaded and ensure supporting documentation agrees.
- Ensure adequate supporting reconciliations are received for all balance sheet accounts transferred over to BD on a monthly basis.
- Ensure invoices raised between BD and APM are compliant with local VAT regulations and VAT payments are received and executed.
- Ensure that the balance owed to/from Edwards on a monthly basis agrees between entities across EMEA, liaising with corporate.
- Support ad-hoc projects, including system developments, and others as necessary.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP is a plus.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative with a 'can do' attitude.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
