Job Description Summary

BD is looking for a Account Manager who is ready to take on the challenge of growing sales and market share in Central Eastern Europe for Peripheral Interventions Business Unit. This role focuses on building strong relationships with customers and distributors while driving sales for BD’s innovative medical products. Our Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, and end-stage renal disease and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase Sales: The main goal of this position is to grow sales and increase market share for BD’s Peripheral Intervention products. This includes solutions for Peripheral Vascular Disease, End-Stage Kidney Disease, and Oncology. The candidate will focus on finding new business opportunities and growing existing relationships to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Implement Sales Plans: Create and carry out sales strategies that focus on driving growth in the territory. By working closely with distributors, making sure BD products are being promoted effectively to customers.

  • Launch New Products: Introducing new products and technologies to the market, ensuring healthcare providers understand their value behind.

  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs). By listening to their needs and providing the right solutions, candidate will help position BD as a trusted partner.

  • Provide Training: A big part of the role is training both distributors and healthcare professionals on how to use and sell BD products.

  • Monitor the Market: Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity, using this information to adjust sales tactics and find opportunities to grow BD’s presence.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Sales Experience: The ideal candidate has at least 3-4 years of sales experience in the medical device industry, ideally in areas like interventional radiology or vascular surgery. Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Fluent in English and Romanian (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

  • Strategic Thinker: Be able to create and execute business plans that help grow BD’s market share. Be able to identify new opportunities and take proactive steps to secure them.

  • Communication skills: Candidate should be good at building relationships with customers, distributors, and key decision-makers. They should also be able to explain complex products in simple, easy-to-understand terms.

  • Results-Driven: The ideal candidate is motivated by achieving results and meeting sales goals. They should be persistent, resilient, and willing to go the extra mile to close deals.

  • Ability to travel 40% - 60% within the territory.

  • Valid driver’s license.
